Invisalign Advantages

Faster Treatment

With weekly aligner changes, you’re on your way to the smile you want even faster. Depending on your response to treatment, particularly in mature adults, Dr. Farrow or Dr. Dewbre may consider longer periods between aligner changes.

Proven results

Invisalign’s features like SmartTrack® material and SmartForce® are clinically proven to improve control of tooth movement with Invisalign clear aligners.

Better Fit

Aligners made from comfortable SmartTrack plastic material feel comfortable, fit well, and are easy to put on and take off.

Effective

Invisalign clear aligners allow Dr. Farrow and Dr. Dewbre to treat a wide range of teeth-straightening conditions, including crossbites, crowding, open bites, gapped teeth, overbites, and underbites.

Invisalign for Teens

Comfortable

Invisalign clear aligner trays not only feel smooth and comfortable to wear, but you can remove them any time. That means you can continue doing all the things you normally would, from brushing and flossing to eating whatever you like.

Convenient

Invisalign treatment is ideal for your busy schedule because you only need to visit our office every six weeks in Oklahoma City, Edmond or Clinton.

Virtually Invisible

Most people in Western Oklahoma won’t even know you’re going through treatment, because Invisalign aligners are virtually invisible!

The Invisalign Process

1. Your First Consultation

At your first free consultation, Dr. Farrow or Dr. Dewbre will discuss your orthodontic needs and evaluate whether Invisalign treatment is right for you.

2. Your Treatment Plan

Our expert Farrow & Dewbre Orthodontics team will use the iTero® digital scanning system to create fast, precise 3D digital images of your teeth.

Then, Dr. Farrow or Dr. Dewbre will map out a precise treatment plan, including the exact movements of your teeth and how long your treatment will be. You’ll even get to see how your teeth will move and preview your new smile!

3. Your Invisalign Clear Aligners

Your custom-made aligners will be made of Invisalign’s proprietary SmartTrack® material. They’re virtually invisible, so most people won’t even notice you’re wearing them during your teeth straightening.

Wear your Invisalign clear aligners 20 to 22 hours a day for the best results, and take them out only to eat, brush, and floss.

4. Your Progress

As you wear each set of aligners, your teeth will gently and gradually shift into place. Dr. Farrow or Dr. Dewbre may recommend that you begin wearing a new set of aligners every week and schedule checkups every six weeks or so at our office in Oklahoma City, Edmond, or Clinton.

5. Maintaining Your New Smile

When your treatment is complete, ask us about a Vivera® retainer. Vivera retainers are custom-made using the same state-of-the-art technology as Invisalign clear aligners.

To learn more about the Invisalign system and all your orthodontic treatment options, please feel free to schedule an appointment at our office. Dr. Farrow and Dr. Dewbre look forward to meeting you and helping you achieve a smile that’s made to move!

Differences Between Invisalign & Braces

No Metal

Unlike traditional braces, smooth plastic Invisalign aligners don't have metal components that can irritate your mouth.

Be Mindful of Staining

To prevent staining, you’ll need to clean your teeth before putting the aligners back on after each time you eat.

Removable

Because they’re removed when you eat, you won't have to watch what you eat like you would when wearing braces – bring on the popcorn and peanuts.

In fact, the aligners must be removed for eating and for drinking anything other than water. You need to make sure you’re willing to do that before you decide on Invisalign clear braces.

Of course, brushing and flossing are much easier than with traditional braces, since you don’t have to work around any brackets and wires.

Invisalign Responsibility

When it comes to Invisalign treatment, there’s a lot to think about. Most Invisalign patients at Farrow & Dewbre Orthodontics enjoy shorter check-ups, fewer appointments, better oral hygiene, and fewer emergency visits.

However, the system's biggest pro can also be a con—the ability to remove the aligners. Your cooperation is essential, whether you have braces or Invisalign.

Since braces are attached to your teeth, they do the heavy lifting to keep your treatment progressing. With Invisalign, you need to do a little extra work during your treatment so your trays can complete your treatment efficiently.

Like with traditional braces, you’ll generally need to wear a retainer after Invisalign treatment, as recommended by your doctor, to maintain your new alignment—and your confident new smile.
