Dr. Melissa Farrow has practiced orthodontics in Oklahoma City, Edmond, Deer Creek, and Western Oklahoma since 2007. Prior to opening her private practice, Dr. Farrow completed her undergraduate degree and dental school studies at the University of Oklahoma. She went on to complete her orthodontic residency at the University of Colorado.
Dr. Farrow possesses a progressive orthodontic philosophy, which agrees with that of many dentists, hygienists, adults and parents. It is important to her to keep all permanent teeth in most cases and she uses comfortable modalities to achieve functional and stable bites that last a lifetime.
Dr. Dewbre joined Dr. Farrow after completing his residency. He is a natural-born leader, professional, and amazing role model for the Farrow & Dewbre Orthodontics team and patients. Born and raised in Texas, Dr. Dewbre is a transplant to Oklahoma. You will find him very personable and easy to talk to, a good listener, a caring provider, and a perfectionist.
Dr. Dewbre completed his undergraduate training at West Texas A&M University, his dental school at University of Texas-Houston, and his orthodontic residency at the University of Oklahoma, where he finished in 2016. Dr. Dewbre’s orthodontic philosophy is much the same as Dr. Farrow’s. He is trained in cutting-edge technology and uses that to our patients’ benefit.
Edmond Braces

Since the Damon braces system our doctors use can sometimes work faster at aligning teeth and closing gaps than other treatments might, overall treatment time may be slightly reduced. Traditional metal braces are one of the most efficient orthodontic tools we have. They’re made out of metal or ceramic brackets that are affixed to the teeth, then connected by wires. Over time, gentle pressure will gradually move the teeth into the positions we want them to be in as long as you have regular adjustments with our doctors.

Invisalign aligners are made of a comfortable plastic material and customized to fit snugly over your teeth. To keep your teeth moving in the direction you want them to, you’ll need to switch your invisible trays out for the next one in the series every 1-2 weeks as directed by Dr. Farrow and Dr. Dewbre. The Invisalign system can only work if the recommended guidelines are followed exactly!
Aligners should be worn 20-22 hours per day throughout treatment. If patients neglect to wear the aligners as directed, it can impede the results and also add time to the orthodontic process.
Invisalign is at its most efficient when correcting many of the most common orthodontic issues. For some complex cases, Invisalign may not be a good option.
